HILLVIEW EDMONTON REAL ESTATE

The residential neighbourhood of Hill View is located in the Mill Woods area of South Edmonton. Hill View is located in the Woodvale area of Mill Woods and the neighbourhood was primarily developed during the 1970s and early 1980s. During this time 87% of Hill View’s residential homes were constructed. Fifty four per cent of the homes in Hill View are single family dwellings. Twenty four per cent of the homes are row houses and sixteen per cent are constituted as duplexes and the remaining five per cent are apartments. The municipal census in 2005 showed that there were sixty eight per cent were owner occupied residences and the remainder of the dwellings in Hill View were considered rental properties.

In the neighbourhood of Hill View there are two Elementary schools. Hill View Elementary school part of Edmonton Public Schools and is located at 355 Woodvale Road East NW, which offers both early education for children ages 2 to 6 and elementary education for children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The second being John Paul I Catholic Elementary school which is operated by the Edmonton Catholic School System and offers Spanish Bilingual Programming, as well as a full English Program for children from Kindergarten through to Grade 6 and is located at 5675 – 38 Avenue, Edmonton. Hill View also has the Grey Nuns Community Hospital located to the South of it in the adjoining neighbourhood of Tawa. Hill View boundaries are 66th Street in the West, 50th Street in the East, 34th Avenue in the South and 38th Avenue in the North.
